Nothing says “I’m sorry” like a dozen luscious cupcakes piled high with frosting. At least that’s LeBron James‘ way of thinking — and now it’s ours, too!
When news vans, reporters and excited fans stormed his quiet Bath Township neighborhood in Akron, Ohio earlier this month in anticipation of the NBA giant’s decision of whether to re-sign with the Miami Heat or return to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, the commotion caused traffic jams for days.
Ever the gracious neighbor, James — who bought a home in the area in 2003 but was actually in Las Vegas at the time — set out to make amends on July 22. His solution was a box of irresistible cupcakes from Baker Boulevard Decadent Cupcakes in nearby Fairlawn.
“Dear Friend,” read an accompanying note, “We know things have been hectic in the neighborhood these past few weeks and we are sorry for the chaos. We are so thankful to live in this wonderful community and we are so blessed to have understanding neighbors like you.”
James then scored extra points by mentioning that the cupcakes — six “Just A Kid From Akron Cherry Cola” and six “Homecourt Chocolate Chunk” — were made specifically to benefit his charity, the LeBron James Family Foundation.
S/o to @KingJames for sending everyone in our neighborhood cupcakes for all the Decision 2.0 traffic. What a guy. http://t.co/jYTKuC1fkc—

Several neighbors took to Twitter to thank him for his thoughtfulness and post photos of the treats.
We’re sure Cavaliers season tickets would’ve gone over big too, but cupcakes make a tasty alternative!
